North Devon is well-known for its award-winning coastline, much of which sits within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So if it's sea, sand and surf you're after, North Devon's top surfing spots are only 10 miles from our luxury tipis.

Should you crave the rugged charms of North Devon's inland attractions, a 20-minute drive east brings you to Exmoor National Park - which you can see from HARTA retreat. Exmoor comes with almost endless adventures, from hiking and cycling to birdwatching and red deer spotting.

Of course, North Devon isn't just for those who love the great outdoors. It's home to fascinating market towns and quaint villages, such as cobbled Clovelly. And boasts some of the region's finest restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars - where foodies can fuel up before heading back to HARTA retreat for a well earned nap !

HOW TO REACH US
Our rural location amidst the North Devon hills means a car is going to give you the greatest flexibility when you stay in our glamping tipis. Should you come by train, we're served by local taxi firm Sure Taxis and Go2 Taxis who know how to find us - and if you're really stuck we may be able to collect you from the nearest station.
By Car We are just off the A3123 in North Devon. Use the postcode EX31 4NX and your SATNAV will take you to the old entrance to our farm, Cleave Farm, which is a single track with a closed metal gate. Ignore this gate and continue along Stonecombe Hill until you see the HARTA retreat sign.
By Train the nearest train station is Barnstaple. From there you can take a taxi, which is 15-20 mins away.
